Welcome New Residents

Welcome to Langenburg! We are so glad you are here or thinking about coming!

Please call, stop in or send us an e-mail if you are new to town. We are here to assist, let us help you get settled!

Here is some helpful information to get you started in your new community:
  • We have a Newcomers Committee - a group of wonderful people that will help you to settle in this wonderful community and feel at home;
  • We periodically (usually once per quarter) organize Newcomers events "Hi Day on Friday!". Check the Community Calendar and come to our events! We are waiting for you!
  • "Like" and follow our town Facebook page @town.of.langenburg. Here you will find lots of information about our community. It is our "newspaper"!
  • Explore www.langenburg.ca. It has tons of information about local groups, services, sports, events, employment opportunities, housing, health care, school, daycare, places to visit, etc.
  • Read the Newcomers Brochure - a summary of all the basic information you need to know (it is attached below);
  • Volunteer! It is the fastest way to blend into the community, build relationships, and become part of Langenburg!
Why volunteering is important for Newcomers:
  • Learn about your community and what it has to offer
  • Develop your language skills
  • Create practical work experiences
  • Enhance your self-esteem
  • Enjoy the feeling of making a contribution
  • Meet people and build new relationships
