Langenburg & District Activity Centre Inc. strives to provide person centered supports through empowering, inspiring, and advocating for individuals with varying abilities.
The centre is the result of the perseverance of many dedicated parents and advocates. It was opened on September 19, 1980 and moved to the present site of the workshop in 1985. The workshop construction was made possible by the financial contributions of the Department of Social Services, the Kinsmen Clubs of SK, Royal Canadian Legion and many local clubs and individuals. In 2018 the workshop facility was fully renovated.
The Centre consists of three group homes, a workshop, a day program, and SARCAN depots in Langenburg and Esterhazy. The Centre hires more than 40 people in the area.
Langenburg & District Activity Centre has about 15 residents who live in the group homes. They offer blocking and air-vents repair services for MOSAIC and paper shredding services for local businesses.
