Senior Rental Housing

Langenburg currently has 46 senior housing units for independent living: 6 senior units managed by the local Langenburg and District Housing Corporation and 40 senior units managed by the Langenburg Housing Authority, which is regulated by policies and guidelines established by the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation and is subsidized by the federal, provincial and municipal governments. 

"Southview Place"     (100 Heritage drive)
10 unit complex, connected to the Langenburg Health Centre, offers:
- 8 one bedroom apartments 
- 2 two bedroom apartments 
- common area, where "Meals on Wheels" can be served. 

Seniors: 55+
 
Price: 30% of gross household income and a security deposit of $326. The long-term rent includes all appliances, heating, water, sewer, repairs, and ground maintenance. Tenants are responsible for paying power bills. 
**Pets are not permitted in any of the housing units.**
Bell Manor             
(103-105 March ave.)
10 units - one bedroom apartments 
 
Seniors: 55+
 
Price: 30% of gross household income and a security deposit of $326. The long-term rent includes all appliances, heating, water, sewer, repairs, and ground maintenance. Tenants are responsible for paying power bills.

Tower Hights                  (113-122 Wells ave. West)
20 units - one bedroom apartments
 
Seniors: 55+
 
Price: 30% of gross household income and a security deposit of $326. The long-term rent includes all appliances, heating, water, sewer, repairs, and ground maintenance. Tenants are responsible for paying power bills.

District Housing Corporation (115 March ave.)
6 units - one bedroom apartments
 
Seniors 60+ and non-seniors
 
Price: a set rate of $425.00 (seniors) or $500 (non-seniors) per month and a security deposit of one month's rent. The long-term rent includes all appliances, all utilities, and snow removal. Tenants are responsible for cutting the grass. 
**Pets are not permitted in any of the housing units.**


Application forms are available from Langenburg Town Office, Langenburg Housing Authority, or any Saskatchewan Housing Authority in the province. Upon receipt of a completed application and income verification, the Housing Authority will complete an assessment of the applicant's housing needs to determine priority for housing.
