P.A.R.T.Y (Prevent Alcohol & Risk related Trauma in Youth) program is a dynamic interactive injury prevention program for teenagers. It is offered to grade 10 students in our area, many of whom are going to get their driver's license. Every year in May the volunteers from health care, EMS, RCMP, Fire Department, and funeral services including crash survivors, meet local students to show a realistic fatal accident and the personal consequences of distracted driving.
The P.A.R.T.Y committee in Langenburg was formed in 2013 and was funded by the Sunrise Health Region. As of 2015 the committee works on their own throughout the year raising funds for the annual mock accident event.
