Langenburg's swimming pool is proud to be affiliated with the Life Saving Society.

Swim for Life is a comprehensive swim instruction program that focuses on the acquisition and development of fundamental swim strokes and skills for learners of all ages and abilities. Learning Swim to Survive skills and achieving the Lifesaving Society's Swim to Survive Standard are key foundations of the Swim for Life program. Swim for Life is accessible, flexible, success-orientated and fun. Instructors ensure swimmers get lots of in-water practice in every lesson. Swim for Life flows seamlessly into the Society's lifesaving and vocational training awards, providing a complete, coherent, single-source program of integrated swimming and lifesaving instruction. Water Smart education is an integral part of Swim for Life and provides information and experiences that help participants make smart decisions in, on, and around water and ice. Appropriate water safety messages, based on the learning from our drowning research, target Swim for Life participants at each level.  
 

2024 Lesson Schedule

After School Lessons: June 10th-21st (Monday-Friday)

July (2xDay): July 8th - 12th  

Crash Course (2x/Day): July 22nd - 26th

August 2 Week Lessons (Evenings): August 5th - 16th

Lessons and Leadership programs require registration in order to reserve a spot. You can either register in person at the Swimming Pool or Town Office. Payment is required at the time of registration. We encourage swimmers to be registered on or before our BBQ Registration Date held on May 4th. 2024. Any registrations received after June 1st will incur a late fee of $5/lesson. 
All cheques made payable to Town of Langenburg.
 
Children under the age of 10 taking swimming lessons must be accompanied by an adult. 

We reserve the right to cancel a program if we don’t have enough registrants; you will get a phone call informing you of the cancellation and a full refund. However, if you cancel your registration for any reason within 7 days of the start date you will not receive a refund. If you cancel your registration greater than 7 days from the start date you will receive a refund minus a $10 administrative fee. Due to scheduling restraints there will be no make-up classes for missed or canceled classes.

The pool conducts regular operational fundraisers throughout the year to keep the pool running. You will be asked to volunteer or donate throughout the year.
