Our History
The Langenburg Swimming Pool (LSP) began operations in its current location (in Centennial Park),
in the 70's. This facility is a large attraction to both local residents,
as well as visitors from afar. For
over fourty years, swim enthusiasts from all around have been using the Langenburg Swimming Pool as their source of summer fun. Operating from June-August, this beautiful,
outdoor, L-shaped pool becomes a hub of activity in the summer months.
It has a grassy area for sunbathers, a large shade protecting open air structure, as well as 1 diving board and a small water slide.
The pool recommends
coming out for public swimming, pool parties, aquasizes, and a variety
of special event days to create an exciting way to cool off.
The Langenburg Swimming Pool is always striving to better its facilities for everyone to enjoy. In
2010 a new liner was installed, although since then the pool has been running smoothly, 2017 Town Council agreed that it is time to start planning for a new outdoor pool! To kickstart the project the Recreation Director entered the Town into a contest through Sask inMotion (powered by Saskatchewan Blue Cross). The Go Out and Play Challenge! During this challenge community members had to log their active minutes each day for 10 days. With our efforts and very active community Langenburg WON $10,000 that began the funds towards building a new pool! To see the progress please click on the NEW POOL section!
